FELDENKRAIS ® SOUTH AFRICA

Feldenkrais® Workshops

Workshops offer a more in-depth experience than a class, and are usually themed around a movement skill set, or part of the body.

Courses for health professionals, accredited by South African Society of Physiotherapy, are given several times a year, with CEUs attached. They offer stimulating and useful material for health professionals to incorporate in their existing practices, but do not qualify anyone to practise as a Feldenkrais teacher. Becoming an accredited practitioner requires training abroad over 3-4 years.

Classes

The Feldenkrais Method ® is experienced either in a class or workshop (Awareness through Movement ®), or individually, in a treatment or lesson via gentle, directed touch (Functional Integration ®).

“In Awareness through Movement lessons you make the impossible possible, then easy, comfortable, pleasurable and finally aesthetically pleasing.” Moshe Feldenkrais
